Put these events on your calendar for the month of February:
February 14th-16th: Seussical @ Central Stage Theatre – Enjoy the next production of SEUSSICAL (the musical)! Performances will be held at the new Olympic High School theatre in Bremerton.
February 15th-16th: Love at the Zoo – Come celebrate all of Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium’s animals at Love at the Zoo on February 15 and 16. The animals will experience special Valentine-themed treats and enrichments that encourage their natural behaviors. Visitors can also meet zookeepers and find out how they care for animals.
February 15th-17th: 2020 Red Wine, Cider, and Chocolate Tour – Plan a winter road trip getaway! Award winning wineries located on the breathtaking Olympic Peninsula. They will pour luscious red wines and sumptuous ciders. You’ll be tempted with artisan chocolates and chocolate themed local cuisine.
February 21st: Black History Celebration – All are welcome to the 2nd annual Black history celebration at People’s Center in Tacoma. It’s an evening to celebrate the richness of the African-American culture, achievements, and contributions to our community through spoken word, dancing, singing, painting, and more.
February 22nd: Port Orchard Carnival – Come celebrate in Port Orchard!! This 21 and over event features vibrant colors, lively music and FUN! There will be dancing, festive food and drink, and a good time. Dress the part with your flashy head-wear and magical masks.
February 23rd: Pints for Pets – Come enjoy a brew with your favorite canine crew for BINGO Night. Pints for Pets will be held on Sunday, February 23 from 6-8:30 p.m. at McCloud’s Grill House in Bremerton. All participants will receive 4 complimentary BINGO cards for several exciting games for prizes! All proceeds will go to supporting the Kitsap Humane Society.
February 23rd: Nerd Crawl 2020 – Come nerd out in Downtown Bremerton. Your ticket includes a custom schooner glass and prizes for everyone. Dress up as a nerd or in cosplay to get a bonus prize at your first stop and join the fantastic costume contest!
February 29th: Forest Festival Coronation 2020 – Stop by this free community event at the Shelton High School Performance Arts Center. This is a wonderful scholarship opportunity for our local High School Juniors and Seniors! The Queen of the Forest will be crowned along with the Princess of Hemlock, Princess of Cedar. The Forest Festival commemorative Button will be revealed as well and the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners will be announced.

March 6th: Young Professionals Network at the Palindrome – Mix and mingle with your colleagues in community! Enjoy a social evening at the historic Palindrome in Port Townsend along with local storyteller and speaker Bonnie Obremski.
March 7th: Traveler Beer Mile – This is a 1.5 mile race is located along the quiet residential streets of the Alderbrook Golf and Yacht Club in Union. A treasure for beer lovers as well as race purists. This race will feature Bent Bine Brewery and will be professionally timed by Peak Performance Timing.
March 7th: 2020 Bremerton Military Appreciation Day – Bring the whole family to the 2020 Military Appreciation Day at the Kitsap Sun Pavilion on March 7th. Enjoy the military vehicle displays, kids’ activities, games, 100 local business booths, door prizes, food, and more!
