Port Orchard
If you are in the Port Orchard area, here are some fun things to do!
Hop on board the Kitsap Live Steamers train at the South Kitsap Regional Park as it winds throughout the woods. Rides are free and happen on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month through October.
The Fathoms O’Fun Concerts on the Bay happen every Thursday until September 1st. Bring a picnic dinner and enjoy this free entertainment on the waterfront.
If your family loves cars, Mustangs on the Waterfront will be held on July 31. It is the largest gathering of Mustangs in Washington State.
Throughout the summer, VanZee Park is hosting Community Skate Nights. Weather permitting, Skate Nights will be held on Sundays from 5-7 pm.
Belfair
Find an outdoor adventure this summer when you visit the Theler Wetlands Belfair Nature Preserve! Theler Wetlands has over 3 miles of walking trails within its 139 acres of salt marsh and estuary wetlands. The family will see red-winged blackbirds and herons as well as other waterfowl. Views of the Union River, Hood Canal, and the Olympic Mountains can be enjoyed on the trail. Follow these hike information details to ensure you capture all of the sites.
Bremerton

Silverdale is home to All Star Lanes bowling and those 17 and under can bowl for free on Mondays and Tuesdays until August 30th with their Kids Club! Find out all the details at Bowling Is Summer Fun!
Celebrate summer at the famous Whaling Days Festival. This year is being held July 29-31st; enjoy family fun activities, live music, and great food. Close out the festivities on Sunday at the Silverdale Rotary Duck Race. Weekend events and times are found on their site.

Mark your calendars for August 19-21st. The Poulsbo Art Festival is a family fun event with something for everyone. The festival has jewelry, photography, ceramics, raffles, and music. These are just a few of the types of vendors and activities that your family will enjoy that weekend.
Bainbridge Island
Spend your 4th of July watching what has been named the “Best Small Town Parade in America”. The Grand Old Fourth celebration on Bainbridge Island has everything from Music, Food, a Classic Car Show, a Historic Baseball game, and then closes with its famous parade. It’s a great day for the whole family.
Kingston
Participate in a tradition that is over 100 years old. The Kingston 4th of July Festival will have a parade, food and craft vendors, inflatables for the kids, live music, and fireworks for the entire family to enjoy.
Seabeck
Saturday, August 13th, make plans to go to Crosby Days Logging Festival. Jammed pack with logging events and competitions, train rides, food, and more, this event will create lasting memories for your family.
Port Townsend
Chetzemoka Park is a popular waterfront park established over a century ago. Surrounded by views of the Cascade Mountain range and Admiralty Inlet, this is a perfect spot for a family picnic. The beautiful park is filled with greenery and flowers, providing a tranquil atmosphere for a more relaxed summer day.
Pierce County
Puyallup Parks & Recreation is hosting Concerts in the Park with the Family Summer Series on Thursday nights and then Kids Noon Toons on Tuesdays.
Head to Point Defiance Park, a 760 acre urban oasis within the city of Tacoma and take a trip down a real life “Chutes and Ladders!”
