Enjoy everything the Pacific Northwest has to offer by checking out some of these local events happening in your community. Put these events on your calendar for the month of January:
January 17: A Pirates Life for Us 2020 – Scores of pirates descend on downtown Port Orchard streets over the weekend for a regional celebration of all things pirate-y. Attendees come from all over. Much fun to be had, games, food, drink and shopping.
January 18: Kid’s Night Out: Mad Scientist – Enjoy a night out! The kids will play games, conduct experiments, watch a movie, and enjoy dinner/popcorn. Make sure to bring a sleeping bag, blanket, and pillow to get cozy for the movie. The movie this month is Smallfoot! Located at Rosedale Hall in Gig Harbor.
January 18: Elma Winter Wine Festival – The 13th Annual Elma Winter Wine Festival will be hosted by the Elma Chamber of Commerce from 12pm – 9pm at the Gray Harbor County Fair and Event Center. Come enjoy wine tasting, beer garden, wine sales, food booths, gifts and merchandise booths, silent auction, and live entertainment throughout the day.
January 20: MLK Celebration 2020 – Featuring guest speakers, music, vendors and more. As “A Day of Service,” we are asking all attendees to please bring non-perishable food items to help support the Bremerton Foodbank. By doing so you will help to reduce hunger and improve the quality of life for those in our community.
January 22nd – 26th: Washington Sportsman Show – The 33rd annual Washington Sportsmen’s Show, Washington’s largest Sportsmen’s Show, returns to the Washington Fair Events Center in Puyallup. The Washington Sportsmen’s Show Outdoor Cooking Competition proved to be a huge hit last year and is back all five days of the show with some of the biggest names in barbequing and grilling in North America!
January 24th- 25th: Strange Brewfest 16th Annual Celebration of the PNW Brewers – Port Townsend hosts brewers from around the region who are encouraged to bring ‘Strange’ brews that are composed with atypical ingredients, often including fruits, herbs, chocolates, coffees and sometimes, garnishments! January 25: Tacoma Night Market @ The Museum of Glass – The free event is perfect for all ages. There will be artists, vendors, music, food, beer, and community all packed into one epic night. The museum’s galleries will be open and they also will have live glassblowing in the Hot Shop.
