Today, I am thankful. One reason I love the month of November is because this month is filled with gratitude. Everywhere I look, there are people in our community who take a moment to reflect on all the gifts we have in our lives and look for ways to pay it forward to those in need.

As a not-for-profit credit union, KCU makes giving back central to everything we do. Through embracing the values of community outreach, philanthropy, and volunteering, we are able to show our gratitude to this community we call home. We commit to community involvement through our #KCUCares initiative, our financial wellness programs, and by partnering with many organizations that support and empower our neighbors. Every day we are vigilant and mindful to do our part to strengthen our communities.

On November 7th, we hosted our Food Bank Appreciation Luncheon. We honored the local unsung heroes who help feed those who are impacted by hunger in our community. These remarkable people dedicated their lives’ work to feed the hungry, and we were humbled for the opportunity to recognize them for their devotion and contribute to their fight against hunger.

Mahatma Gandhi once said, “The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.” Although November is a month to be thankful, KCU is thankful every month. We are thankful for our members, for the opportunity to give back to our community, and we are indebted to the entire KCU family that make all of this possible. Thank you for helping us make KCU great!
